Real Time Monitoring Solution

How Does Optimal Monitoring Work?

With a Smart & Connected Approach

Optimal Monitoring is a Real-time locating systems (RTLS), also known as real-time tracking systems. It is used to automatically identify and track the location of objects or people in real time, usually within a building or other contained area. Wireless RTLS tags are attached to objects or worn by people, and in most RTLS, fixed reference points receive wireless signals from tags to determine their location.

The specific ways real-time location systems operate can vary greatly from system to system, but all RTLS leverage a network of connected hardware and software components that track the location of people and objects within a defined area.

To enable indoor positioning, real-time location systems primarily rely on RF technologies such as UWB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and chirp that enable wireless communication between a group of transmitting, receiving, or dual-purpose transceiving devices to determine the location of the targeted object. The transmitting device, such as a RF tracking tag or smartphone will send out data encoded RF transmissions, or location “blinks”, at a continuous interval. RTLS receivers (anchors or readers) deployed in fixed positions, such as mounted on walls and within the communication range will receive and read the received signals from the transmitting device. The location data, and in certain applications, accompanying IoT data (temperature, battery, etc.) received by the anchors, is then forwarded to location engine software to calculate the device’s position

What is Optimal Monitoring?

Optimal Monitoring is a Real-time locating systems (RTLS), also known as real-time tracking systems. It is used to automatically identify and track the location of objects or people in real time, usually within a building or other contained area. Wireless RTLS tags are attached to objects or worn by people, and in most RTLS, fixed reference points receive wireless signals from tags to determine their location. Examples of real-time locating systems include tracking automobiles through an assembly line, locating pallets of merchandise in a warehouse, or finding medical equipment in a hospital.

The physical layer of RTLS technology is often radio frequency (RF) communication. Some systems use optical (usually infrared) or acoustic (usually ultrasound) technology with, or in place of, RF. RTLS tags and fixed reference points can be transmitters, receivers, or both, resulting in numerous possible technology combinations.

RTLS are a form of local positioning system and do not usually refer to GPS or to mobile phone tracking. Location information usually does not include speed, direction, or spatial orientation.

In short, immediate and uninterrupted tracking and location (RTLS – Real Time Location System) system is fully automated system and is based on RF technology to show alternate location and the position of people or objects. The tracking system use the wireless Access Point (Wi-Fi) standard as a reference tool for locating tags and transmit relevant information as the basis. RTLS tags arecapable of two-way communication via the wireless network and also it is able to plan with more than thirty parameters to meet the varying requirements. it can achieve necessary information for transform this data into valuable information to predict and complete the process by instantaneous and continuous tracking and locating people, objects, equipment, etc., in an integrated environment with RTLS data with other enterprise data.
